Updates and changes
Rising Tribe has made the changes we needed to in order to take us to the next stage of our musical journey. Since the first album's release, we have been getting a great response from our radio promotion campaign that began a few months ago. Although it is extremely tough for an independent band to gain significant traction in the music industry, we have managed to get our music out to a much wider audience than we initially imagined. Special thanks to David Avery of Powderfinger.
For those of you who have been at one of our recent live shows, you have seen our newest addition to the band. Bass player Linzy Nogueira joined us earlier in the year and has been a great fit. It takes a long time for bands to be at a place where they have finally found the right group of people. So many musicians come and go and it makes it difficult to pursue any real goals. Linzy has made it possible for us to focus on playing the music.
Our last great step has been the production of the new album. It may be hard to believe, but the new record is going to be even more intense than our first release. The songs are going to still have our signature haunting and melodic style, but we are livening it up with driving drum beats and tribal grooves. I'll have more information on the record as it nears release. Stay tuned for samples on the Web site. We also may release a single or two.
